The Red Wings won their second regular game - After all the festivities in Colorado, which were fine, the Colorado Players were all introduced along with the Coach and Assistant Coaches and not one introduction for Detroit - So very glad the Wings won - Peggy

The last two were pretty depressing, to say the least.  Hopefully there will be Shark for dinner tomorrow night.

And...they're BAAAAAAACK!  After that totally demoralizing 6-game losing streak/drought, the Wings just shutout Anaheim 5-0.  Whew!

Congratulations to the 2011-2012 Detroit Red Wings, who made hockey history last night at Joe Louis Arena, by winning their 21st consecutive home game! The previous record for consecutive home wins was shared by the 1929-30 Boston Bruins, and the 1975-76 Philadelphia Flyers, with 20 each. The Red Wings now hold the NHL record for consecutive home game wins, with 21! GO RED WINGS!!!

I'm so happy they made it last night.  It would have been such a shame to get so close and then blow the chance to set a new record. Way to go, Red Wings!!!!

Yes, Sharon, they've also been some great games lately.   Watched them over the weekend when they tied the record.

Go Wings!!!!

Congratulations once again to the Detroit Red Wings, who just broke the record for consecutive home game wins, even across multiple seasons. The record was held by the 1929-30 Boston Bruins, who won 20 in a season and their first two the next season for a total of 22. The Red Wings just defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2, for a record 23 consecutive home wins, an all-time NHL record. GO RED WINGS!

I am so happy for these guys! I wonder how long this home game streak will go on. It has been a very exciting run and I hope it stretches even further.
