http://www.tvsa.co.za/user/blogs/viewblogpost.aspx?blogpostid=31978 I love this quote!
In the beginning when people said, "Ah, you've got to fill these big shoes," and stuff - that didn't bother me because it's a continuous story. What bothered me was the sins of the guy before you. You know, when you play a storyline and everyone goes, "Oh, it's funny because years ago he did this,". I'm like, "
I didn't do that and I would have probably done this differently." But the character has been created and you can't ignore the past. You can't dwell on it but you can't ignore it and I sometimes find that complicated. __________________ ALINA

Great read, thanks for the link Alina. And you picked the most quotable quote
It is very interesting how Mr. Kaye looks at his profession and how incredibly humble he is! __________________ **************************************

Thanks, Alina, and ditto searose! I always enjoy reading what TK has to say about acting. His take on everything is so perceptive. As a viewer, I know I have it easy... I have no problem ignoring the past Ridge. Just call me Pam Ewing!

That's a wonderful interview and he is so right nothing wrong wearing Armani suit and working with beautiful woman and get paid. And Thorsten's acting is just amazing. Looking forward to many more years watching him on B&B or wherever he goes.

I have no doubt in my mind that if TK was playing Ridge during certain eras, certain things he did wouldn't have happened. And I completely agree with him that you can't dwell on the past. Characters are allowed to change for the better and not wanting they or their kids to repeat past mistakes. Just like it happens, you know, in real life.

ITA, ladies and it is an absolute delight to read anything he says! His perspective on Ridge's character growth is very insightful and Ridge's actions since returning from Paris have proven that! What Ridge told Brooke when she questioned why Caroline was in N.Y. summarises what TK is conveying to us magnificently!!!!!!!! Caroline loves me for who I am TODAY, not 25 years ago ... Your Ridge is the one and only Ridge and we love HIM!! Thorsten we love and admire you ,yesterday ,TODAY and forever!!!!!!!!!!! __________________
