I know this is AMC and of course it won't happen, but.........why doesn't Zach just take over Fusion? He is poised to take over Chandler, with apparently very little trouble. We know that in the real world corporations stage hostile take overs all the time. It is certainly nothing new on AMC either. I believe Adam and Palmer have done it to each other in the past. So wouldn't it make sense for Cambias to take over Fusion? Then Zach could give Kendall 100% of the stock, and Bitchlee would be out on her ass with no recourse, except to scream and cry and rant like the spoiled brat she is. Like I said, I know this is Pine Valley, so I know it won't happen, but it would make perfect sense to me.......and give me a lot of pleasure.

He probably would if Kendall asked him.

Here's my take on this.

Greenlee was one of the founders of Fusion -- with Kendall. I remember those days –- the birth of Fusion was one of the things that made me start watching AMC regularly again after having turned it off for quite awhile.

I loved the Fusion storyline because it was so rare an example of "woman power" on daytime. Kendall and Greenlee were the Lucy and Ethel (or any combo besides Rosie and Elizabeth) of the cosmetics industry. In order to make a success of Fusion they needed each other, and I always love it when adversaries band together for a greater good. For Fusion's sake Greenlee and Kendall were forced to become allies, a relationship that gradually and believably evolved into a friendship outside office hours, in a process I really enjoyed watching.

It was a bumpy road and Kendall got most of the bruising, but she didn't deviate from the Greenlee-centric route -– until Zach really upset the applecart when he tried to prevent Kendall from becoming Greenlee's surrogate.

Even with her good intentions, Kendall using her own egg for the surrogacy gave Greenlee a huge issue with Kendall... ironically, it seemed to me, it was only when Kendall finally debased herself too far for Greenlee that Greenlee had a problem with it. But -- that was between Greenlee and Kendall. Greenlee finally knows she also has a huge issue with Zach, now she knows who the real deus ex machina was. And that is between Greenlee and Zach.

Of course, Kendall and Zach being married to each other and taking each other’s side against Greenlee, can only make Greenlee come out swinging even harder against each of them individually, and the two of them together. Greenlee’s in full retaliation mode and she’ll use everything she’s got against them, including using Fusion, her “child,” against Kendall. In calling Fusion her child, though, Greenlee is doing what almost everyone in PVLand does, ignoring the fact that children have two parents. Fusion is equally Greenlee's and Kendall’s child, and Greenlee needs to realize that.

And IMO, Kendall needs to realize that as well, and keep any Fusion custody battle between herself and Greenlee, because Fusion is not Zach's child. He was running a casino in Las Vegas when Greenlee and Kendall (and Mia and Simone) cooked up Fusion, long before Cambias was a factor in any of their lives. After Greenlee and Kendall did all the work to found and build Fusion, Cambias simply took Fusion over in a Michael Cambias-orchestrated power grab, an injustice that Zach finally righted when he gave to Kendall Cambias' Fusion shares -- which I don't think was exactly his purpose, but whatever it takes to withdraw Cambias from the field and restore the balance of business power between Greenlee and Kendall. Which is where I'd like to see Zach's involvement stop.

Just as he refuses to interfere between Ryan and Kendall over Spike issues, I don't think Zach should interfere between Greenlee and Kendall over Fusion issues. Now that he has made Kendall once again an equal to Greenlee in the company and removed Cambias from contention, I think Greenlee and Kendall need to duke it out without interference from an outside party, even Zach. That's how Greenlee and Kendall began the company and that's the basis upon which I want to see them continue.

If, as the head of Cambias, Zach were to take over Fusion again only to give it to Kendall to overthrow Greenlee, that just strikes me as too patriarchal. It's too similar to what happened before when Michael muscled in, the bigger (male) company swooping in to bend the smaller (female) company to its will. The fact that this would be a Kendall rescue mission doesn't make it any more to my liking, because I don't see where anyone, including her, benefits from any new Cambias-orchestrated transfer of power.

Greenlee would end up more bereaved, pissed, and vindictive than ever toward both Zach and Kendall. Kendall would end up with Greenlee's half of Fusion, sure, but not through her own efforts -- simply because she was married to a man more powerful than her business partner. And Zach would just be enabling, and thus really weakening, Kendall's position by making her more dependent on him for her business success, instead of, as he has striven to do in the past, sticking to advising her to use her own abilities and follow her own instincts to get what she wants.

I think the power Zach just wielded on Kendall's behalf is both adequate and fair, for the reasons stated. I hope Zach doesn't go beyond that, unless there is a really, really urgent need for it.

Sorry Ann I agree with Kathy 100%.  I think I prefer Zach stay out of this as Kathy stated as well for the simple reason it would give Greenlee one more reason to really hate Zach and Kendall.  Right now is not the time to give that bitch anymore ammunition against the Slaters.

Kathy, while I agree with you in theory, I think Greenlee has crossed the line, and I'm no longer convinced that she can be dealt with as an adult. While she does pretend to adult, business-like behavior, some of the time, and usually when dealing with Annie, she too frequently resorts to sandbox behavior. This was MY playhouse...these were all MY toys...I know I left...but everything is still MINE.....Kendall is just being mean and taking all MY toys.......and I will destroy everything SHE has because it should all be MINE!!! If Kendall can take her on singlehandedly without any help, I will be cheering for her. Ideally Kendall would get some much needed support from both Annie and Di, and I think Di is itching to smack the smirk right off her, but I don't see TFIC allowing Kendall to have that kind of support system. After all, we all know Rylee II is just around the corner, and a Lavery wife will always been given the upper hand.

So, having said all that, I still know that Kendall will always have to play kiss-up to Bitchlee.....but it would still tickle the shit out of me.

Ann, Greenlee might deserve a smackdown, but I don't think it should be up to Zach to administer it. He's not Greenlee's business partner, Kendall is, so (unless as I said the situation is very urgent for some reason) IMO Kendall needs to pull up her socks and deal with it. If Kendall can't do that for whatever reason, then I think she should give Greenlee her damn Fushion shares, resign from Fusion, and let Greenlee have the sandbox all to herself. Then she can start her own company with Zach's backing where she can be the boss. Sometimes you just need to walk away before the situation deteroriates any farther....

Kathy, I like your second idea!! Give Fusion to the spoiled Greenpea and leave her to run it by herself!! Kendall can start her own new business - how about cute baby clothes - on line?? :-)

How about running the casino's.  A face the bloody gamblers will like.  AMC seemed to have allow that part of the Slater's life just go poof!

I was thinking more of another cosmetics company to compete with Fusion. Not that I'm not sick to death of hearing about make-up on this show -- but I'm infinitely sicker of babies, LOL.
