I got my picture, I resized it using the program "Avatar Sizer", I hosted it with TinyPic.com, I got it to show up on the site but the picture is distorted.  Can anyone help me?

I've tried resizing the original picture and my husband has tried working with it too but we can't get it to look clean like the other avatars.

Your avatar is distorted because it must be square, and yours is rectangular. All sides must be equal. Also, even the longer side of your avatar is smaller than the 120px allowed here, so you can make it a little bigger. Your dimensions are 110 by 82 -- they should be 120 by 120 in order to display properly.

Do I fix this in the avatar sizer program or in the original picture?

It doesn't matter where you fix it as long as you end up with a 120 x 120 square.

I'm having problems resizing it because all of my programs want to resize the picture using aspect ratio which will maintain the picture in a rectangular form.  Do you know of a picture program that will let me resize to a perfect square?

How can something so easy turn out so hard?????

Create a new 120x120 square, any color (doesn't matter since you'll be covering it up).  Then layer or copy your picture on top of it - use whatever function that will let you position it the way you want it.

How does it look now?  Could it get any better?

I'd lighten it a bit and use and not reduce the size so much, but that's just me.

I'll resize it for you - do you have the original online somewhere?
