Even though Ryan's shooting was staged and Zach was only acting... well, I'm probably projecting, but I kind of got the inpression it wasn't all pretense and Zach was using a golden opportunity to exorcise at least a few demon monkeys. Because even though Zach didn't really physically injure Ryan, the deep contempt he voiced for Ryan was mega-convincing. (g) At least I hope he was -- and even if he wasn't, it's sure been cathartic for me!

And David... well, I'd say the comeuppance Zach laid on him was absolutely perfect -- perfect and just pure Zach. He didn't just play David like a violion, he conducted the entire orchestra like Leonard Bernstein. For a few brief moments David knew real terror and the kind of helplessness he's subject so many others to... nobody deserved a taste of his own medicine more than Dr. Demento and there was nobody better than Zack to deliver it!

When David tried to find the non-existent bullet hole in himself, I shrieked. And when Zach said to Grieffin, "Hey! Naptime is over," I LOL'd. Well done, everyone, really.

Will Cara's baby provide David's get out of jail free card, though, as long as he releases his other hostages, er, patients?

Today's denouement really reminded me of a scene from a classic movie. I actually really have enjoyed this storyline overall -- Zach had an entertaining and worthy adversary in David (I hate David but I must say that VI is also a master of snark), and even though it was kind of cartoonish (Batman-ish BAM! and POW! graphics on the scene during the Zach/Ryan battle today would have been a nice touch), I think it has been a pretty good umbrella story. Most importantly i's given TK a lot to work with and he has hit it out of the park.

AMC 09/12/11

PS Roast your pork on the bone... it stays juicy and delicious. Wow, just think... soon I can watch a show with devastatingly original and appetizing (gag) cooking tips like that, instead of watching TK as Zach Slater on AMC. I know what to tell Frons to do with that pork bone!

Thanks for the clip Kathy, and you summed it up perfectly!

SCARY, SWIFT AND LETHAL!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes, that was pure Zach today!

OKaye, I thank Rylee for their help, but they can go back to groping each other, as long as they stay OFFSCREEN for the rest of the days, and out of Zach's orbit!

Thank you for the great clips! The only thing that would make me happy is if Ryan really got shot. And I too believe Zach might have gotten some stuff off his beautiful chest!!

Quiet, scary, lethal...and deadpan. Oh, the deadpan. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, I'd rather watch than Zach yanking chains. And watching Zach calmly make David dance around like a megalomaniacal puppet on a string as he became more and more frantic was just beyond satisfying - I howled when David frantically felt himself after Zach "shot" him. I've loathed David for a very long time, and even though this had nothing to do with how he ruined Zach's life years ago, I'll take it!

Projection or not, I also got the impression Zach wouldn't have cared if he did kill Ryan, too - and that made it even more entertaining to watch.

Nobody does it like Zach!

If you're projecting than so am I!  I think Zach was relishing the idea of putting a bullet in Ryan even if it was just an act.  It was a dream come as close to true for him as possible, lol.  I so enjoyed it and all the glorious expressions that played on Zach's face, throughout.

Get a load of his face when Ryan said "I don't want your help...I would rather die than turn into one of the monsters that you created". He's so subtle, yet so expressive with just a small eyebrow raise.

Speaking of violins...I just RME as David whined about being misunderstood and acting like a victim in all of this.  He says: "It's pretty obvious you can't get passed your petty grievances with me".

I'd say Zach's grievances are far from petty.  David admitted to being a silent casino partner, stealing money from Zach to fund OP and knowing in advance that Zach was going to be murdered by them and not doing a damn thing to stop it.  The only reason David was even on the scene was because he thought Greenlee was on the plane with Zach...otherwise...Zach would be dead. Ironic that Kendall was right all along when she accused David of being responsible for Zach's death.

Hysterical and very well played by all, particularly Thorsten and Vincent.

Ladies...as always you pretty much say what I am thinking and you generally say it better. So I will just say ditto to all the above posts! Lol.

Another great Zach Slater day delivered by one of the finest actors I have ever had the privilege to watch! So glad that Thorsten came back for the end of the show on ABC. What a gift to his fans. Thanks TK!

And thanks for the clips!

Thanks for the clip....OMG! everything said here is so true.  TK hit it out of the park.  It was great watching David's strings being pulled.  Zach is the puppetmaster!!!

and I agree about the new show.  If TIIC needs help with that pork bone....sign me up to help "deliver" it.  (sorry for being graphic).

I haven't been a fan of the OP story (I won't go into all my reasons why) or the way its been written but I must say the writers did right by TK/Zach, he was amazing and the only one, I think, that saved this story at all.    Even though I figured out what was going on before today, he had me think he was over the edge.  EXCELLENT job and if there is an Emmy's next year this should be his reel.

My one big complaint was that the bullets weren't real and Ryan isn't dead.   Did you see Zach's facial expressions - SO DAMN GOOD.    I think a little part of Zach (ok a big part) also wanted those bullets to be real.

THE MASTER AT WORK.

Thanks Kathy for the clip.  Great stuff!  I am so happy for TK; what a great day for Zach.  He got a story that he finally deserved, because he shined.  Way to come back and knock it out of the park.

Kudos TK!  That was a masterpiece!  Just too bad Ryan didn't really "get it" & too bad Grief had to wake up, but it was truly chilling!

I had kind of had an idea where this was going, but OMG what FUN to watch it play out!  Outta the park?  TK knocked it out of the whole damn TOWN today!  I was laughing hysterically right from that little eyebrow raise, the man doesn't have to say a WORD, his face says it all.

Petty grievance??? Petty grievance my ass!  You're in cahoots with somebody who's going to murder me but you call it a "petty grievance"??? GIT 'im, Zach!  And kudos to VI too, I totally hate what they've done with/to his character (and he probably does too), but he played it to the hilt.  David just seeing all his shit just unravel right before his eyes, wow.

Another awesome Zach day!

This was a lot of fun to watch. Even though none of it came as a surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed watching  Zach and David play this out. Both did an excellent job of it.  I bet TK enjoyed getting to do this so-over-the-top stuff too since Zach is so often calm and quietly lethal during a crisis. The fact that this story thread is now resolved though is making me worry and wonder if Zach will get much more important on-air time. As the days dwindle down, I fear at each day's onset that it will be a "No Zach" day (as today was.)  I hope they give him plenty of nice sexy/romantic Zen time before we lose him again.
